The task in a nutshell
The project is to design a new website for EVBAR, a Los Angeles-based startup renowned for crafting top-tier EV charging stations. EVBAR's mission is to create a seamless ecosystem that benefits both businesses and drivers, ensuring convenient and efficient electric vehicle charging solutions.
Project year & duration
2023. The project took approximately 2 months (10 hrs/week) from start to finish.
The problem
Several issues were identified during the evaluation:
The existing brand identity was deemed excessively 'cute,' failing to convey the brand's professionalism effectively.
The site map proved challenging to navigate, leading to a low conversion rate for various online marketing campaigns.
The reliance on generic stock images and icons left the brand lacking in distinctive personality.
The proposal

The feedback
The client opted for the second option, and we subsequently moved forward in that direction. We selected Squarespace as the platform for the website to facilitate straightforward maintenance as per the client's preference. The entire project encompassed approximately 80 hours of work by myself, which involved the development of brand guidelines, site architecture design, the generation of AI-assisted imagery, and the creation of the Squarespace site from the ground up.
